The seventh biennial Woods Hole Model Boat Show will take place April 18-19 in Woods Hole, Mass.
Both days will feature static and live exhibits throughout the village, plus workshops, talks and demonstrations.
Radio-controlled models will sail and race in Eel Pond; others will operate in a pool on the lawn of the Woods Hole Historical Museum.
Builders of ships-in-a-bottle will be on hand to talk with visitors and demonstrate their craft. There will be more than 125 boat models, both historical and modern, on display. An appraiser will be on hand to appraise visitors’ maritime items.
Children will have the chance to run radio-controlled boats in the pool, as well as build, paint and sail models of the museum’s signature boat, the Woods Hole Spritsail.
