The local sheriff's office is searching for two boat thieves who detectives say stole a boat in New Port Richey, Fla.
This is the second time a small boat was stolen from the same dock — both times the thieves were focused on the outboard engine rather than the boat.
"Twice we've had the boat and motor stolen from this location," Ardyth Fickes, who rents the house, told Bay News 9. "And each time we've gotten the boat back but not the motor."
Fickes said though the boat doesn't look like much, the motor is worth about $2,600. And unlike the bigger boats nearby, a thief won't need a crane to get it out of the water.
