Skipper charged with torching his own 50-foot boat

A Florida man faces charges of arson, insurance fraud and grand theft in connection with a fire that destroyed a yacht named Shameless.

The defendant, who faces up to 65 years in prison if convicted on all of the charges, calls the case a misunderstanding and said it will be cleared up soon.

Investigators grew suspicious when an evidence analysis detected gasoline in a cabinet area of the boat that runs on diesel fuel.
