JULY 20 - Sunsail, a yacht charter and watersports vacation company, announced last week that it would co-sponsor The Apprentice Legend Cruise, a theme cruise based on real estate mogul Donald Trump’s hit reality television show, “The Apprentice.”
To the winners of one of the contests during the cruise, Sunsail will award a second cruise — this time aboard a luxury sailboat. The winners, who will be joined by former “Apprentice” cast members, will sail in the British Virgin Islands.
Expedia.com, an online travel agency, and Trump World magazine will host the eight-day cruise, featuring special events, “Apprentice”-like contests, former cast members and networking opportunities. The grand prize includes $15,000, a luxury trip to Seattle and the chance to serve alongside Expedia CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, for one day.
In addition, passengers will visit numerous locations in the Eastern Caribbean during the cruise. The ship will depart from New York City Sept. 26, and make stops in San Juan, Puerto Rico and St. Thomas before returning to New York Oct. 4. The cruise will take place on the 963-foot Carnival Legend cruise ship, renamed the Trump World Legend for the event.
