Sunken sailboat’s builder reaches settlement

The manufacturer of the racing yacht Cynthia Woods, which capsized in 2008, killing Texas A&M University safety officer Roger Stone, has settled a lawsuit with Stone's widow.

Cape Fear Yacht Works agreed to pay Linda Stone and her two children $375,000 in the next three years, according to court documents. The money will help pay for the cost of college for Stone's children, Eric, 16, and Elizabeth, 13, the documents state.
