Suspect towing skiff with corpse charged with murder

A Southeast Alaska man found towing a skiff with a corpse inside was charged with second-degree murder, drunken driving and tampering with evidence, according to police.

The 39-year-old suspect was covered in blood Sunday when witness Dave Pendarvis arrived at the suspect rustic houseboat, troopers said. The suspect was staggering and told the witness that he'd killed the victim by "stomping" him, according to a trooper's written account filed in court.
