Tall ship Pride of Baltimore II hosts Midshipmen

As part of the strategic partnership between the National Sailing Center and Hall of Fame and Pride of Baltimore II, 30 U.S. Naval Academy Midshipmen went for a sail on the Pride II to launch additional programming between the two organizations.

Sails with Midshipman and Naval staff will continue next spring and fall.

In addition, Pride of Baltimore II, the Navy, Anne Arundel County Public Schools and the National Sailing Center and Hall of Fame will cooperate to bring area eighth-grade students to visit and learn from the Navy's new exhibit, "Seas, Lakes & Bays; The Naval War of 1812" at the U.S. Naval Academy, as well as tour the academy and sail on the Pride II from the National Sailing Center and Hall of Fame dock.

Programming is also being developed for sails on Pride II with Founding Member clubs, Wounded Warriors and cancer patients.
