The Captain from Hell

The boat ride from hell.

That’s what Carlo Lopeparo and his friends and family got when the captain of their charter fishing trip allegedly got drunk, used cocaine and marijuana, fired shots from a handgun, got violent with one client, threatened to put a bullet in every passengers’ head and held them captive for 17 hours.

The trip finally ended when they paid the captain at sea and he returned to Sarasota, Florida, where he was arrested by the local police.

You can read more details about the crazy boat ride in these articles from Newsweek and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
