Two rescued from capsized boat

Two men were pulled from the Atlantic Ocean water after their 31-foot Fountain powerboat capsized on rough seas on Monday morning, Coast Guard officials said.

The Jamaica II, a Brielle, N.J.-based party fishing boat, rescued one man while a Coast Guard vessel pulled the second man on board.

The boaters sent out a mayday call at 8 a.m. that they were capsizing from the rough seas, according to a report by the Asbury Park Press.

“Both men were cold, wet and tired, but they were fine,” a Coast Guard spokesman said.
