If a tired old boat must be retired, why not have a little fun doing it?
In an episode of the Science Channel’s “Mega Shredders,” a vintage fiberglass powerboat meets an inglorious end in very cool fashion. The engineless boat had to be “modified” to fit into the commercial-grade compactor.
“I’ve worked 27 years around the compactor, and I’ve never seen a boat crushed,” says one field service technician who works at the Seattle facility where the damage is done.
The supervisor of the job goes by the nickname Capt. Crush. These guys might be having too much fun.
