Big-budget Hollywood movies on nautical adventure are hard to come by these days, but a whale of a movie is heading to theaters the day after Christmas.
Academy Award-winning director Ron Howard’s new true-life seagoing thriller, “In The Heart Of The Sea,” was originally set to open last March, but its release has been pushed back to Dec. 26.
The big-budget movie is adapted from author Nathaniel Philbrick’s book about the true story behind Herman Melville’s classic sea adventure, “Moby Dick.”
The filmmakers recently released a second trailer for the film, which looks pretty awesome to us.
Philbrick, a passionate sailor and the author of several books on his hobby, published “In The Heart of the Sea” in 2000 to critical acclaim.
