VIDEO: Ready for takeoff

Boats and waterskiing have gone hand in hand since at least the 1940s, and jumping is among the most impressive parts of the sport.

A water-skier in Chile recently jumped more than 230 feet.

As impressive as that jump is, the official world record was set last year by professional skier Freddy Krueger, who flew 250 feet at Lake Hancock in Winter Garden, Fla., behind the new MasterCraft ProStar.
