VIDEO: Sailing yacht burns at the dock

A British sailing yacht's mast snapped and toppled into the marina as an explosion sent boat parts flying into the air as 15-foot flames roared through the vessel. No one was on board at the time.

Harbor workers in Hamble, England, fought to control the blaze on the Jeanneau 36i, named Fortyniner before racing to move expensive ships moored nearby, including a 70-foot Sunseeker powerboat worth more than $1 million.

Dockmaster Dave Wright said it sounded 'like a bomb going off' while once firefighters had brought the fire under control, they had to pump water out of the gutted boat to prevent it sinking.
