You wonder what was silently going through the minds of the skipper and crew of this commercial vessel as they jogged into huge seas and gale-force winds. I don’t think “maelstrom” is too strong a word for these spray-torn mountains.

The footage of an enormous wave breaking over the bow in the final segment makes me glad I’m watching from the safety of terra firma. “That’s the money shot,” you hear one crewmember say, with laughter in the background.
