VIDEO: Tight fit

The drawbridge at Simpson Bay in St. Martin opens six times a day to let megayachts into the Isla Del Sol Marina. The width of the opening is 56 feet. The beam of Venus, the Feadship built for the late Apple CEO and chairman Steve Jobs, is about 39 feet.

The $100-plus-million superyacht, launched a year after Jobs died of cancer, made the tight transit earlier this week, which was captured by a drone with a camera. It’s an impressive bit of navigation.

The yacht was designed by Jobs and Philippe Starck, who reportedly earned about $9 million for his work. Venus is owned by Jobs’ widow, Laurene Powell Jobs.
