In 2010, Soundings told you about Chris Fischer’s effort to study the great white shark by tagging them with GPS tracking devices.
CNN recently reported on the movements of a shark Ocearch tagged last September off Cape Cod, Mass., and its wanderlust is pretty impressive. The shark made its way to Florida and now has been tracked off North Carolina.

The goal is to find out where great whites breed so those areas can be protected, according to Fischer.
