Boats built by Hunt Yachts are known for their deep-vee hulls and Down East looks.
On Wednesday, Hunt introduced its latest model, a new 32-foot center console that remains true to its fishing mission, but is tricked out for family day tripping.
“There are plenty of flat-out fishing center consoles in the universe. Hunt doesn’t need to build another one,” Hunt president Peter Van Lancker told Soundings. “Ours is taking the family aspect to the next level with a yachtie design, an aft-facing walk-in companionway leading to the interior with enclosed head with shower, and a small galley with microwave, with plenty of seating and storage.”
The forward “J” seating accommodates eight, with an optional teak table for al fresco dining. The aft-facing molded back of the console seat features a counter area with a sink, mini-fridge, drawers and room for an optional electric grill.
Standard power is twin 250-hp Yamaha outboards.
The base model 32cc will sell for $269,000. Hull No. 2 is under construction. The boat will be displayed at several shows this fall.
Hunt Yachts also produced a digital video that showcases the 32cc and all of its features.
