VIDEO: When the walls close in

Mountain Sheep Canyon is a popular destination for hikers and kayakers. The 1.5-mile sandstone canyon off Lake Powell in Utah that is navigable but gets extremely tight in sections.

Among the PWC crowd, there are a few brave souls who run the gauntlet, as you’ll see in this video clip.

The driver appears experienced and is smart enough to throttle down when the walls close in. It’s a good thing there were no kayakers around those bends.

Mountain Sheep Canyon, with its sheer sandstone cliffs and petrified dunes, has one sandy beach that attracts houseboaters.
