Wacky Florida Keys regatta features anything that floats

Buoyed by a cheering crowd, bobbing buckets and bumpers, amateur boat builders clambered to the finish line atop self-made racing vessels during the offbeat Anything That Floats regatta in the Florida Keys.

Team Likely Story of Miami used a schematic found online that helped keep their swift watercraft of corrugated plastic, plywood, zip ties and duct tape held together as they crossed the finish line with the fastest time.

The regatta's half-mile course was positioned behind Sundowners Restaurant in Key Largo.
