X Shore Launches the X Shore 1 Bowrider
Swedish electric-boat builder X Shore has launched its newest model, the X Shore 1 Bowrider. Following in the footsteps of the X Shore 1, the Bowrider adds additional seating on the foredeck while removing the belowdecks, forepeak space.
“Over the past two years, we’ve heard from the market and our network about the growing demand for a family-friendly day cruiser—specifically in a bowrider style—that offers the ideal setup for a range of water-sport activities,” X Shore CEO René Hansen says. “With bowriders making up about 25 to 30 percent of the powerboat market in North America, it was a natural next step to expand the X Shore lineup. This new bowrider, built on the trusted X Shore 1 platform, is our response to that demand, crafted for friends, family and an adventure-filled day on the water.”
Like the X Shore 1, the Bowrider has both forward- and aft-facing transom seating with a swim platform. Forward, the helm is to starboard with a single helm seat, and a single companion seat to port. A small console with a portable fridge is located where the entrance to the belowdecks area would be on the X Shore 1.
The fourth model in X Shore’s lineup integrates Garmin technology into its onboard systems, including a 19-inch display to monitor navigation, depth and temperature. Owners can also connect their Garmin smartwatches with X Shore’s app to remotely access the Bowrider.
Other features include under-seat stowage for gear and necessities, retractable sun awnings, rotating helm seats and optional fill-in cushions to convert the bow area from an enclosed seating area for sundowners with friends into a sunbed that’s ideal for sunsoaking.
“Without the enclosed cabin found on the X Shore 1 Open and Top models, the team had to reimagine the space to ensure comfort and usability in the open bow,” Hansen says. “This involved redesigning the center staircase to create a sleek and seamless entry and exit to the bow, enhancing flow and accessibility.”
X Shore says it uses precision prepreg techniques to build its hulls, using materials like glass fiber and carbon fiber. The builder also uses sustainable cork instead of traditional teak to honor its commitment to a greener environment.
“Our mission is to make boating one with nature by advancing sustainable performance, seamless technology and functional design,” Hansen says. “The Bowrider meets the growing demand for recreation, high performance and sustainability, setting new standards in electric boating.”
